On Friday, 20th June 2025, I had the honour of hosting the Media Breakfast Launch for the 11th International Consultation of the Child Helpline Lifeline Conference. The event was held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka and was graced by Hon. Doreen Sefuke Mwamba, Minister of Community Development and Social Services, as the Guest of Honour.

Standing before a gathering of media professionals, child protection advocates, and key stakeholders, I felt a deep sense of privilege to serve a cause that speaks to the heart of humanity—protecting and uplifting children. The room was filled with energy, commitment, and hope. As I guided the programme and engaged with speakers, I was reminded of the power of voice, presence, and communication in advancing social good.

That moment was more than an assignment. It was a meaningful opportunity to contribute to something larger than myself. I remain sincerely grateful to the organisers, Lifeline/Childline Zambia and Child Helpline International, for trusting me with this important task. I appreciated every handshake, every smile, and every word shared that morning as we prepared the ground for a global conversation rooted in compassion and action.

From 24th to 26th June 2025, I had the distinct honour of serving as Co-Master of Ceremonies at the main conference held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Livingstone. Welcoming international delegates, national leaders, and child protection champions to this beautiful Zambian city was both humbling and fulfilling.

The gathering drew participants from across continents—each one committed to strengthening child helplines and improving the quality of emergency, psychosocial, and referral services for children and youth. The consultation created space for learning, sharing innovations, and refining strategies that address the realities children face every day. As I stood at the podium, guiding sessions and setting the atmosphere for dialogue, I felt the weight of responsibility but also the joy of service.

The presence of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zambia, and senior government representatives, including officials from the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, added significant strength and national pride to the event. Their participation reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between governments, civil society, and international partners in protecting children’s rights.

My deepest gratitude goes to the entire team behind the scenes—organisers, partners, technical support, and fellow facilitators—who made this event seamless and impactful. I especially honour Lifeline/Childline Zambia for their tireless work and ongoing service to children in need. Being part of this historic gathering was a highlight in my journey as a communicator, advocate, and servant leader.

Every session I helped moderate, every voice I helped amplify, and every connection I helped create was an opportunity to stand in alignment with a noble mission: giving children access to the support they deserve when they need it most.

As I reflect on these unforgettable days, I carry forward renewed commitment to champion the protection, dignity, and well-being of every child—not just as an MC, but as a messenger and advocate.

Thank you to all who made it possible.
